Task 4-LO1 The Global Village Theory (1964)

In 1964 Marshall McLuhan said that in the future we would live in a global village meaning that people would be able to instantly connect with each other from the other side of the world and this would be because of the advancements in technology.

Positives of Global village 

- One positive of the Global village is that people on the other Side of the world can video call each other and still see each other

-Accessibility is a lot easier than it has ever been now due to the Global village

-We now know most of the things happening in most countries now and have access to their news.

Negatives of Global village 

- A negative is cyber bullying this is where people behind the screen bully others.

-Another negative is the technological divide this is when there is a technological diverse country but in other countries such as Brazil and India have slums and there is no access to technology.
